State Laws and Licensing Regulations
Below are links and information on individual State Physician Associate (Assistant) Licensing. In the cases that show "No Need For Continuous NCCPA Certification" an individual has to be certified by the NCCPA when the application for licensing is submitted. After initial licensing, the requirements are the Fee for renewal and Continuing Medical Education Credits (CME). In most of the cases the law/regulation reads "submit proof of CME completion "or" current NCCPA certification. We advise that all Physician Associates (Assistants) read and fully understand the exact nature of their States licensing renewal requirements. Please direct questions to the Physician Associate (Assistant) State Boards which the links below lead to.
